Student Programs are intended for small groups, adjusted to grade levels K-2. Choices include areas of science, social-emotional connections, poetry writing and art.
Following a reading of the book, these are examples of possible available presentations and what they include:
The Rainbow Connection talks about the science and meaning of rainbows, science experiment to show they are created, followed by making our own Rainbow flowers or scratch bookmarks. Diffraction glass create magic!
Alike and Different uses engaging big hand puppets to assist in discussing how we all are so much alike, and the special ways we are different. Specifically, puppets will represent and launch talk about different ways we are smart. (Howard Gardner’s Multiple Intelligence theory for young children)
Sensory Rainbow Color Poems will involve the group creating a poem together using describing words, our senses, and the colors of the rainbow.
We’ll also talk about and create a poem with rhyming. Other activities may include illustrating our poem, making scratch rainbow bookmarks.
